Hola, my name is Raimundo
and I play Guitarras Raimundo

A handcrafted Spanish guitar workshop
closed its doors in 2023 after 55 years.

This page is a small, stubborn attempt to bring it back.

Who am I and what is this all about?

Me and Guitarras Raimundo

My name is Raimonds, I live in Riga, Latvia and in May 2021 I discovered Guitarras Raimundo. I bought Model 126-S Flamenco and it completely changed my future path - from that moment I knew I want to get serious about playing the guitar. This guitar spoke to me like no other guitar has spoken before and it had my name on it! I had no choice but to play it. Raimundo found a Raimundo.

In December 2021 I bought Model 145 Flamenco and it reasurred me that these guitars are amazing! In March 2023 I bought the flagship Model 160 Flamenco - a very serious and beautiful instrument that sounds even better than it looks.

Since 2021 my stage name is Raimundo and I perform as a solo guitarist.

Guitarras Raimundo goes Bankrupt

Turns out I had a narrow window of opportunity to purchase these wonderful instruments, because at the end of 2022 Guitarras Raimundo went bankrupt, and in 2023 it ceased to exist. Looks like the Pandemic was rough for them and the business couldn't keep going as before. Gone after 55 years of work.

I researched the situation in 2025, discovered documents that confirm the closing of Guitarras Raimundo and noticed that the domain name is freely available for purchase. Again, I felt like I have no other choice, I must buy it to protect it.

Now what?

I have no money to invest and revive the company, I wish I had! But maybe I can drum up support for Guitarras Raimundo, because if someone wanted to invest, they would want to know if people are interested in the brand. And this page would clearly answer this question - we want Guitarras Raimundo back! The people who made these instruments still exist, the knowledge and legacy is there, all that is needed is someone who reignites the whole thing. Well, that's probably a ''pipe dream'', but much stranger things have happened, so, who knows, right?!

But at least this page will keep the legacy of Guitarras Raimundo alive. The business is no more but the guitars still exist and it would be great to have a knowledge base about all of them here. If you can help me out with missign materials - pictures, pdf files and information, or maybe you just want to share a story about Guitarras Raimundo - feel free to contact me!
